Common Questions

What does it take to have a team?   You only need 2 quizzers who are 11 years old on January 1 for the given quiz year (there is no minimum age!) and then at least one sponsor/coach.  If you only have one individual who wants to quiz, check with a surrounding church (or contact me, and I will try to help you), there may be someone in the same situation and together you may be able to have a team.  There are then some cost associated with a team, such as the transportation to and from each tournament (held monthly) and the tournament registration fee (regular tournaments are $30, and the Finals will be determined later), and generally lunch.  There is also a great deal of material that is offered by headquarter as well as other individuals that provide study helps.  These items are helpful, but not necessary to have a successful team!  If you have a King James Version of the Bible, then click here for the verses to study! When does the quiz year start? We generally try to start each quiz year at the beginning of January. So if you can contact me in November or December it would be best.  We then have a regular tournament each month, until the District Finals in June.  National Finals are then held at the end of July or first of August.  If you are interested in having a team, send me an email: quizmaster@okjrquizzing.com .What type of questions are asked at a tournament?
